Vivienda Verde Introduction

Excellence and commitment have always been pillars of Marjal International’s policy. In line with these two elements,Marjal International commenced the design and construction of the first officially certified “Green Home” in the Valencian Community.

The insulation in the ceilings, walls, floors and Windows alone allow for a 70% reduction in heat loss compared to a standard house. The solar panels we install produce an abundant amount of hot water using the most common energy around in Spain, without harming the environment.

Lighting is provided using LEDs which are much more energy efficient.

Other features are water pressure reducers, taps with flow reductors, mínimum distance from the hot water tank to areas of use (bathroom, kitchen) and the installation of A class appliances.

The sanitary cisterns of the toilets use around 30% less water when flushed and have a double flushing system (half or complete). Added to this, the rain water and wash basin water is filtered and used to fill the cisterns and to water your garden.

Marjal International’s “Green Home” will come with one of the most energy efficient systems possible in the form of a boiler that uses recycled bio-mass pellets. This system has an optimum energy release rate, which make it both efficient and environmentally friendly.

As well as all these features, Marjal International is also commited to preserve the enviroment and that means that we demand certified proof that none of the materials used to build the property have done this during their manufacture or will do so in the future.

All these design and building features allow for a 50% energy saving and a 60% saving in your water consumption

To obtain the Green Home qualification and receive the Quality Profile certificate awarded by the Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación, our building process must follow a series fo strict guidelines that include:

  • A sustainable use of natural resources
